naar een uitdagende afstudeerstage gericht op Systems Engineering? Wat ga je doen? Bij Arcadis passen we Systems Engineering toe op onze projecten voor systeemontwikkeling. Om het Systems Engineering proces te ondersteunen gebruiken we semantische informatiemodellen en hiertoe geconfigureerde software. Met de combinatie van het Systems Engineering proces, specifieke methodes, het semantisch informatiemodel en de software zijn we in staat om model-based systems engineering toe te passen op onze projecten. Dit zorgt voor grip op de projecten en op de systeemontwikkeling, waarbij de systems engineering informatie expliciet en consistent kan worden uitgewerkt, bijgehouden en geanalyseerd. Voor model-based systems engineering gebruikt Arcadis op dit moment software die gebaseerd is op een semantische databasestructuur of op linked data, conform W3C standaarden. Deze software is in staat om de informatie op te slaan en te verwerken op basis van een triple structuur. De presentatie in de software, in de user-interface, is veelal een combinatie van boomstructuren en tabellen. Hoewel veelal toereikend voor de projecten die we doen, zien we ook een behoefte aan het visualiseren van de informatie met behulp van diagrammen. Diagrammen kennen meer rijkheid in de wijze van presenteren van informatie en relaties ten opzichte van uitsluitend boomstructuren en tabellen. Ook is het in gevallen eenvoudiger om met andere specialisten of met stakeholders diagrammen te bespreken in workshops, dan dezelfde informatie gepresenteerd in tabellen en boomstructuren. In systems engineering wordt al vele jaren gebruik gemaakt van diagrammen, denk hierbij aan functieblokschema's, fysieke architectuurschema's, activiteitendiagrammen en stroomschema's. Vaak zijn dit soort diagrammen gebaseerd op standaarden, zoals IDEF0, UML, SysML, P&ID. Arcadis is op zoek naar een afstudeerder die voor ons kan onderzoeken hoe we de wereld van \u2018systems engineering informatie uitdrukken in linked data' kunnen verbinden met het maken en presenteren van systems engineering informatie in diagrammen. Deze verbinding is tweezijdig. Enerzijds informatie in linked data (geautomatiseerd) uitdrukken in diagrammen (onder andere met een generator), anderzijds informatie in diagrammen omzetten in informatie in linked data zodat de SE database verder aangevuld wordt met nieuwe informatie uit de diagrammen. Aandachtspunt hierbij is dat er continu consistentie vereist is tussen de informatie in linked data en de informatie gepresenteerd in de diagrammen.
