Perform planning/system performance studies and transient studies for compliance with prevailing standards and criteria and good engineering practice. Develop business with clients by applying advanced technologies, engineering concepts, and approaches to unique engineering problems. Develop proposals and act as Project Manager. Delivery of accurate and thorough planning, studies, system design, report summary and other client system study deliverables that will meet industry standards and specifications and meet good engineering practice with excellent constructability. A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; master's degree strongly preferred. Minimum of 9 years of experience in power system study analysis and planning. Must be proficient with the PSS\u00aeE software package, including load-flow, short-circuit and transient stability analysis. Experience with alternative planning software applications, including TARA, PSLF, DigSILENT, or DSA Tools, is highly desirable. Expert and knowledgeable in PSCAD simulations with a particular focus on the detailed modeling of renewable power sources and carrying out HVAC and HVDC studies. Must be familiar and experienced with key North American Market Operators (i.e. MISO, PJM, NE-ISO, NY-ISO, ERCOT, SSP, AESO, IESO) policies, guidelines, regulations, rules, requirements and criteria as applicable to grid interconnection, performance and planning, especially related to bulk power systems.
