Provide business-focused legal support and guidance for the global enabling functions of the Arcadis Group providing a broad range of support to all its affiliates and subsidiaries within the Arcadis group. You will work with cross-functional teams within Arcadis and drive compliance with laws, legislation, and internal procedures within Arcadis Global B.V. and in doing so also support the wider Legal, Compliance & Privacy (\u201cLCP\u201d) team. For this role, will report to the Global General Counsel with a dotted line to the Global Legal Operations Director. There is no direct report. Role accountabilities: Act as a business partner to support management and employees The main responsibilities of this role include providing high-level and actionable legal advice in a timely manner across a broad range of issues that arise in AGBV. This includes but is not limited to (1) contract review and negotiation with partners, ecosystems, and third-party suppliers; (2) due diligence with such parties including support for screening with sanctions as applicable to Arcadis; (3) protection of the Arcadis brand and other intellectual property related topics; (4) and others as required from Arcadis Global B.V. Establishing influential relationships and building knowledge of the specific priorities and challenges to support the strategic priorities of the Arcadis Group in general and specifically for Arcadis Global B.V. Applying a risk-based approach, considering, and implementing best practices (including adherence to Arcadis' governance processes) in balancing contractual, commercial, and delivery risk against the strategic growth objectives of the business. Collaborating with Arcadis' enabling functions to ensure appropriate contractual structures and strategies for partnership and other third-party solutions and contracts. Add value through leveraging global expertise Carrying out legal research into substantive legal domains and know-how relevant to the wider LCP team in Arcadis. Drive lessons learned back into the business. Leverage LCP knowledge best practices and operational excellence across Arcadis. Interact with the global LCP team Work with the LCP Global Shared Services Center as they perform contract review and negotiation services for the Arcadis group. Qualifications & Experience: The candidate should have a relevant master's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience practicing law, preferably with a focus on contracts. Experience around third-party due diligence, sanctions laws, intellectual property, and/or digital contracts is desirable. Knowledge of Dutch law is preferred. Further, the candidate should have: Client-focused, entrepreneurial, proactive, pragmatic, and highly adept at problem-solving. Ability to balance company interests and legal principles, combined with high standards of integrity. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional, international environment both within our LCP Team and more broadly within Arcadis (experience under different jurisdictions an advantage).
