Role accountabilities: Lead and direct a wide range of complex planning projects and assignments Enable growth and expansion through the identification and development of business growth opportunities and strategies within a multi-disciplinary practice Networking, attend industry events, client management and relationship building, and communication Lead proposal development and opportunity pursuits Assist with development of marketing content including on-line presence and social media Develop, review, and manage the approval process for complex planning applications through a solution-oriented approach Establish internal collaborative relationships to enable cross-selling and promoting of our services and expertise - collaborate other offices and practice areas Manage and support multiple planning projects with multiple staff, lead and coordinate staff Lead and manage public engagement processes and projects Thought leadership and support and coaching of team members through contributing to their projects and professional aspirations Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's or master's degree in planning or related discipline required Minimum of 15 years experience in private and public sector urban planning, urban design and land development projects Experience in leading complex multi-disciplinary projects Ability to lead complex planning tasks and manage multiple challenging projects Strong client management and communication skills Expertise in building and leading multi-disciplinary teams Deep understanding and experience with planning and development processes in Alberta and the Calgary region, including appearing before councils, planning commissions and committees Proven project management, problem solving and solutions development skills Why Arcadis?
