Role description: Arcadis is looking for a Mechanical BIM Champion to provide close support to our Places Canada Mechanical Engineering team. This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills and a willingness to participate with & support team members who produce project deliverables with a focus on quality and effective delivery. Candidates should expect to actively participate in planning and organizing CADD and BIM related tasks and close coordination with mechanical engineering design staff located locally, within the the Greater Toronto Area, across Canada, and globally with our international design and engineering teams. Role accountabilities: Support mechanical engineering design team members execute projects in BIM/Revit, AutoCAD and MicroStation Answer and provide training to junior engineering staff on BIM/Revit modelling processes Management of dedicated mechanical BIM and CADD technicians. Establishment and enforcement of National mechanical BIM standards, details and schedules Establishment of National repository of BIM families and elements Support during planning and definition of BIM execution plans and matrices Qualifications & Experience: 10+ years in mechanical building systems design, technical production and construction detailing Expertise in BIM/Revit, AutoCAD and ACC are requirements Strong knowledge and expertise in design coordination through ACC along with document uploading and submissions Experience with alternative construction delivery methods (e.g. Alliance, Progressive Design Build, P3, etc.) is an asset MicroStation experience is an asset Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interactions with stakeholders Exhibit the ability to work on multiple project assignments Why Arcadis?
