The Structural Engineer, with the support of a strong nationally recognized technical staff, will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of structural systems for data centers. This role requires a deep understanding of structural engineering principles, building codes, and industry standards to ensure the safety, stability, and efficiency of data center facilities with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and effectively resolve issues promptly. Role accountabilities: Design and analyze structural systems for data centers, including foundations, steel and concrete structures, and seismic bracing. Collaborate with architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, clients and other stakeholders to develop integrated design solutions and have clear and concise oral and written communication skills. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports with senior review. Provide technical support during the construction phase, including resolving design-related issues and conducting field inspections. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in structural engineering and  data center design. Travel, as needed, for project-related activities such as client meetings and site visits. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience with a focus on data center projects Professional Engineer (PE) License required, Structural Engineer (SE) License preferred. Functional knowledge and experience with AutoCAD/REVIT software. Strong structural analysis and design skills (including structural software such as Staad Pro, Risa, etc.) Excellent working knowledge of all building codes and standards such as IBC, ACI, AISC, etc. Why Arcadis?
